Guest guest
Hi all, I'm Judith, I'm new here... I've been trying to be 100% rawfoodist. Ugh...so hard! I've noticed that from breakfast to lunch, I can stick to my meal plan (Fruit for bfast, veggie salad for lunch - sometimes steamed veggie or tofu). But after lunch, usually on tea time break, I will be so hungry. Then I will look for snack, or coffee milk or bread or peanut.... I have my record for my meal plan and also for my " cheating " .... this is always happen on tea time break (around 14.30/15.00) Can somebody help me to explain? thank you cheers, Judith
Guest guest
Hi, Judith! I think you'd need to post more information to get an educated guess about what is going on. How much and what kind of fruit for breakfast? And what quantity of salad? What are the ingredients? It takes a lot more volume of food to satisfy your hunger when you eat raw. So far today, I've had three grapefruit, juiced, seven bananas, two mangos, the equivalent of a head of romaine lettuce, 4.5 ounces of spinach and I'm not even close to getting through lunch yet. I've been eating raw for almost two years now. It can be difficult at times, starting out, but if you stick with it, it can be the best thing that ever happened to you. Guest guest
I have the same problem as Judith and my time period is similar or even later. It seems to time when everyone else in my family is eating cooked. I never really thought about it as not eating enough during the day though. For myself I thought it was more of a mental thing due to food issues, i.e. food as entertainment, watching the family eat cooked food, etc. Perhaps if we ate more fruit during the day? Thanks, Tanya > > > Hi all, > > I'm Judith, I'm new here... Guest guest
Yup.. I have read a file for beginner in this group's folder, about eating a lot of fruit or veggie. For breakfast I usually eat an apple or two. a kiwi or 3-6 strawberries (depend on their size) at 10. For salad, Lettuce 4-5 leaves, cucumbers 1/2, tomato 1/2, string bean 4. sometimes with a glass of soya milk. not enough? Actually, I'm diabetic type 1, I used to take care what i eat and how much. so i'm afraid when i eat too much Any suggestions? and thank you also for Tanya cheers, Judith rawfood , " Tommie " <jerushy wrote: > > Hi, Judith! > I think you'd need to post more information to get an educated guess > about what is going on. Guest guest
Can I just say that I think you're not eating quite enough? haha. I'm thinking of the raw foodists I know and their consumption of fruits in the morning. The people I know eat a lot of fruit! Then I hear about raw foodists that eat 11 plums in a day no matter how active or inactive they are. It really depends on the body. I'm new and would hate to comment on diabetes and diet. I just know that fresh fruit and fresh fruit juice are going to react in your body a lot differently than canned fruit and processed juices. Other than that, a nutritionist experienced in raw would be a good person to advise you. This is sort of exciting though, isn't it? To see what your diabetes does the more raw food you incorporate into your diet. I did read the 80/10/10 diet and there is a story in there about a diabetic athelete who ate a lot of fruit in the morning and afternoon and did some fruit and greens at night and cut his/her insulin to a quarter of what he/she used to take. For my own reasons, I don't follow the 80/10/10 (I cannot and do not feel that I should eat that much food in a day) but I did think the diabetic story was interesting. Hi Tanya... I think so... this is sort of exciting. at least I've been proved that veggie juice for dinner, really help me to reach the ideal number of fasting blood glucose (usually under 100.... feel great!!) Other condition that I've noticed lately (since I tried to be 100% raw foodist), if I eat cooked food or something fried, I'll have stomachache or nausea, dizzy, sleepy... thank you for sharing, anyway cheers, Judith
Guest guest
I certainly didn't mean the diabetes is exciting. I have a diagnosed " autoimmune disease " and the more I do this and get into the raw philosophy, the more I understand disease. I still deal with physical pain etc., but it is in no way diabetes nor what I consider potentially life threatening. So not sitting here " minimizing " your illness because it's there and I can't possibly imagine. The thing that could be exciting is the fact that there is something out there that can really help. That's my hope.
