Guest guest
hi, my name is laura...i have been getting " whispers " of raw food for years and they always stuck with me. last year at the library, i was just walking down the aisle and there was a raw book just sticking out asking to be picked out. i have been learning more and more about raw food ever since. we are not 100%...not sure if that is our goal at this time, but getting closer every day. my husband is overweight (i am not) and just recently has told me he is ready for me to help him lose weight. i am very excited. he is a chef and so he has been sort of skeptical about trying to become more raw...it's just hard when you have to taste things and you're around cooking food all day. like an alcoholic working at a bar. he just turned in his notice and is going to just go back to waiting tables so he won't be in the kitchen anymore. this is a huge step. yikes. anyway. we eat about 85-90% raw right now. i am learning to make more things now that i have a dehydrator. but i am mostly satisfied with salad and sandwiches (we use ezekiel bread). it's the snacks that give me a hard time..i'll want chips and popcorn!! so i'm learning some ways to satisfy that craving with raw food. okay, i guess that's long enough for right now. i hope to gain knowledge and support for this way of eating. if you want to " meet " me...i have a flickr page with pix of myself and my family as well as some raw food pix...so check that out if you like: http://www.flickr.com/photos/sssmommy/ peace, la
