Hi Marilynn and all,

I feel so happy to find others that realize this!! Yes, biologically normal

body temperature for human adults is probably somewhere in the range 95-96

degrees F (some say even a bit lower).

One challenge we face involves the use of the word " normal " . Commonly, this

word is used to mean " statistically normal " . However, this has little to do

with what is normal by design, or biologically normal. Instead,

" researchers " collect data and ASSUME that the population from which they

collect the data consists of healthy people. But we know this assumption is

false. So while they may indeed arrive at statistically " correct " results,

'norms " have nothing to do with what is genuinely normal, and correlations

have nothing to do comprehending cause-and-effect relationships.

Best to all,

Elchanan

[Raw Food] lower body temp (was Re: I feel so much better now!)

Hi Marilynn,

I have always, even when I ate SAD, had a very low body temperature--

normal for me is 96 degrees. My husband is very long-suffering to

put up with my freezing feet all winter.

My theory is, our bodies are made for tropical climates (look at us--

no fur to keep us warm). If we ate our natural diet and lived in

our natural climate, it would be a perfect fit. Too bad that isn't

practical for all of us.
