Guest guest
It's illegal to buy/sell a tray of wheatgrass in soil in Texas? I am moving there this November. I can keep my mouth closed about beef, but what's the deal with wheatgrass? Guest guest
Hi, As a former Texan I know the answer to this, and it isn't just Texas. Soil and plants shouldn't be transported across state lines and is against the law. Why??? Well because of plant mutation and migration. The biggest example is Kudzu. Also microrganizms that are in the soil can cause all manner of proublems where ever you move too. I know it sounds like a load of crap but their are valid reasons. So it doesn't have to do with wheat grass per say, but plants and soil in general. Hope this was helpful. Later Joysain
Guest guest
Hi Joysain, I understand this explanation. My question is, do you believe it? There is no magical biological barrier at the state line, and businesses and government routinely ship soil by the truckload all over. As we travel, everything we own travels with us, and no one can prevent it. This is part of how diversity occurs throughout Nature, it is part of Nature's design.
