Guest guest
Congrats! How wonderful for you, La (or is it LA?)! Nice to see a place like this opening in S.C. I always wonder (however) why raw recipe books and restaurants use maple syrup (as this place you'll be working at appears to, in its crepe dish) because maple syrup is never raw; it's heated at high temperatures! Also, Synergy Kombucha drinks (listed on the menu of this restaurant you'll be working for) are not pure either. I used to drink them and found them to be very sweet. Then someone told me the mushrooms are fermented with SUGAR. It's not even on the label. I would like to join forces with other purists to form a lobbying group that would get a raw labeling law enacted. Guest guest
it's not an all raw cafe...so they aren't pushing any type of purist philosophies or anything...sort of walking a middle ground i suppose, wanting to reach a larger audience. they are located in a fitness center that offers yoga and that sort of thing...lots of people wanting power drinks and smoothies and such. but the grab and go food for the most part have a raw slant. it should at least be interesting. vegwriter wrote: Congrats!
