spit test and candida

okay, my husband and i did the " spit test " this morning.

we both had the results that suggest we have candida overgrowth.

my husband i have suspected for years has candida overgrowth since he has not

ever been able to lose weight, he has SEVERE psoriasis, joint pain, and a lot of

the other listed symptoms.

i, on the other hand, do not have a lot of the so called symptoms. i have had

several yeast and bacterial infections just in the last year. this last one has

been the only one i haven't been able to clear up. the only moodiness i've had

has been as a result of being at my wits end from the yeast/bacterial infection.

i don't have any of the other symptoms.

so i'm wondering how accurate the spit test is. i mean, i know we all have

some degree of candida that is " okay " in our bodies....so it would seem that

even if you don't have an overgrowth that you would still show positive with

this test.

i know that in the last year, since going mostly raw, i have added a lot of

supposedly good oils to my diet.....although all raw, i am now starting to see

that they may be the problem. more olive oil, coconut oil, and lots of

avocados....it makes sense that these are what is making the sugars of all the

extra fruit i eat now seem like the culprit.

i deeply appreciate all the information being shared. although very

confusing...i think it is a lot like all the advice out there on parenting. you

have to be able to step back and choose what seems instinctively " right "

personally..........that is how i feel about this. so many different views, yet

i am the one who has to choose what feels right for me. and trying each

" theory " until i find what works FOR ME.

so the fruits and greens and no oils sounds like the best route for me. but

i'm going to start out with the monodiet first. i'm going to do bananas since

they are the easiest. my husband feels more drawn to watermelon...which makes

sense seeing as he has the severe psoriasis....the hydration of it all, ya know.

again, thanks so much!!

peace,

Laura,

Below I excerpted one paragraph from your message. PLEASE read your own

words ... slowly, thoughtfully.

okay, i know it didn't make a lot of sense did it. to say i have this symptom,

but not ALL the symptoms doesn't really matter. i'm not sure if that was your

point. i find your insight immensely helpful and gentle, which i

appreciate...so if you wouldn't mind helping me see what it is i need to see in

those words of mine, i would really appreciate it.
