Guest guest
Hi Carla, My understanding is that this is a general RF group. There is indeed a strong 811 contingent here, and there are those with very different beliefs and practices, as well. Recently, some of the 811 discussion has come to the forefront. Also, Roger Haeske, founder of the group, is himself quite 811. But he rarely participates directly in the group anymore. Guest guest
There are others of us in here, not just 811'ers.
Guest guest
Erica is so right! There *are* others of us here who are not 811'ers. I mostly post privately, just so as not to upset the 811'ers, who have happily made this list their playground, but... we *are* here. There are many approaches to raw-food-ism.... there are: *the Natural Hygiene approach (of which 811 is an outgrowth) *the Ann Wigmore approach *the Hippocrates Institute approach (an outgrowth of the Ann Wigmore) *the " I'm eating raw food only and I'm so happy! " approach (where you eat whatever you please) *the " I'm eating raw food only and look at all these fabulous recipes in all these fabulous recipe books! " approach. *the " I'm 100%raw and you're not! " *the " I'm working on getting to 100%raw any way I can " *the " I want to be raw and I'm doing the best I can " etc. etc. etc. My personal take on raw is, if you are aiming at eating only raw food, good on you! If you are eating 85% raw food, good on you! If you are eating 95% raw food, good on you! If you are at 100% raw, well good on you, too! Some people are 100% raw most of the time, some people are 85% raw 100% of the time.... yada yada yada.... The list is here to support all people who are interested in a raw lifestyle, to the degree in which they are able to do so. (There *are* other groups which are exclusively devoted to this or that nutritional theory focus) If you are not necessarily, at any given moment, finding what you want in list messages, please do feel free to consult the list files, which have been compiled over the 8 (or maybe 9) years of the existence of this list. The files contain a lot of valuable information culled from members' postings, books, other websites' offerings, and more.
