Guest guest
Hi Sarah, My first suggestion is to postpone that visit to the " specialist " . Don't put your child into that database if you can possibly avoid doing so ... it'll be for life. My second suggestion is a private conversation, if you wish ... sending my phone # via separate private message. Up to you .... Elchanan _____ rawfood [rawfood ] On Behalf Of Sarah Tuesday, May 22, 2007 3:43 PM rawfood [Raw Food] Seizures My 6 year old son had a seizure last week. He's had them a couple of times in his past, once at 2 years of age and a second time this past October. The doctors did not have an answer for the one that happened when he was a toddler, but they assured me it shouldn't happen again. The one in October was explained because he had fallen from his bike and the trauma may have triggered it. I'm now concerned that he's had a 3rd one 7 months since the last seizure. I'm worried about them happening more frequently. Is there anyone with advice on what may naturally be able to help and prevent seizures? He will see a specialist this week, but I really do not want him on medication. He's been about 75% raw for almost 4 weeks now. I'm working towards getting him closer to 90-100% raw. Thanks in advance for any advice or experience you have to offer. ~Sarah <http://geo./serv?s=97359714/grpId=5520395/grpspId=1705015482/msgId =29440/stime=1179873802/nc1=1/nc2=2/nc3=3>
Guest guest
I don't have too much to suggest for this because I didn't go through it. I do know she used the liver cleanse products from Young Living Essential Oils. I get all my oils from them and have used a bunch of their supplements also. She also had him do a colon cleanse from another company recently but I don't remember the name off the top of my head. I can ask her if you want to check into it. Maybe some one else has a better suggestion? Caroline rawfood [rawfood ] On Behalf Of Sarah Formhals Tuesday, May 22, 2007 9:29 PM rawfood RE: [Raw Food] Seizures Thanks for the tips. I haven't allowed my son to receive the vaccinations that were due at the age of 5. I wish I had been more informed about my options when he was a child, as I would have skipped them then as well. We took him to the ER when the seizure happened, as he passes out and is unresponsive for hours. They drew blood and ran all sorts of tests. His blood work came back perfect. I do know that he's not detoxing as quick as the rest of the family. I'm not sure why that is. I'm hoping that more cleansing will help. How do I help the detoxing process along in a 6 year old? ~Sarah --- Caroline G Gomes <cggomes wrote: > Is your son vaccinated? Guest guest
I have not had a seizure in 2 1/2 years! Before I was GF, I had them about every 6 months. Had warnings (auras) before a seizure. Went GF at about the 6 month mark and was about due for another when I became GF. Have not even had an aura since then either. No " fuzzy brain " feelings. Has been wonderful. I even contacted a research program and they also reported a connection between seizures and gluten. Amazingly, other issues have improved as well. Have a great day. - Danielle Deborah Pageau <dpageau Thursday, May 29, 2008 6:54:12 PM Re: seizures Awesome!! :-) How long has it been for you?
