Jeannie,

If and when your system ever becomes that clean, then you will understand,

or perhaps if you have the opportunity to spend time around others who are.

That you find something difficult to believe reflects only upon your

experience and beliefs; it has nothing to do with what others experience. If

you wish to go so far as to invalidate the experience of others simply

because " that can't possibly happen " , then I suggest you reexamine your own

beliefs about what is possible. Animals in nature do not smell " bad " to one

another. Yet our pets all smell terrible, particularly as they age ... just

as we do. This is a function of diet and lifestyle, NOT of " aging " ... and

whether anyone believes this does not change that it is so.

I am not speaking here of that " musky " scent, I am speaking of people who

have cleared their sensory systems so that they are far MORE sensitive than

yours .... people who smell things you would not even notice or know exist.

In other words, I am speaking of someone you might have stood next to and

NOT noticed ... that is the point.

Now if you wish to become that healthy, that clean ... then I (of a few

others) can help you!

Why do you assume that you can never become that healthy? You can ... if you

choose to.

Best,

Elchanan

I laugh often at some people that claim that they can go with out deodorant

and I have to say to myself that they must have gotten used to their sent

but others might not be that lucky. lol I do believe for some cultures

though that the " musky " sent they have must be part of them and they just

accept it?

I agree that there are very few people walking around who are that healthy.

lol.

a monk comes to mind...

I think of the purity of their diet...I admire that. I am not one though and

I am prone to fall " off the wagon " as I did yesterday. darn it!! I HAD gone

over 30 days 100% raw and darn it if I didn't have the grilled chicken that

was put on my salad yesterday. I am dissappointed in myself for caving in.

However, I shall jump back on the wagon and continue with my " one day at a

time " mantra.

This is true in my experiances. I began to educate myself on eating

raw after studying and feeding raw to my dogs.

The change in them was significant. Not just physical things, but

their whole personality.

Some people spoke of doggie odors practically disappearing, and we

all noticed the change in doggie poo odors and consistancy.

One of my dogs at the time was a Basset Hound. Anyone that has ever

had the pleasure of owning one or meeting one will tell you that as a

breed they are THE smelliest. All the bathing in the world will not

get rid of the hound dog smell.

Though our Basset did continue to have some odor, it was much less on

raw. Bassets are such a " man made " breed, I suspect there are just

some things that nature cannot change about them. Man has modified

the dog into the Basset Hound we see today. Physically, very little

about them is natural for a dog. The same can be said for many of

the purebred dogs. The more bizzare looking and extreme the dog, the

more health problems they have and the more intervention from man is

needed to take care of them.

But feeding raw did help her health a lot. This dog could acutally

dance on her hind legs for her food. Not easy feat for an old Basset

of 13 years. Sadley, an accident took her from us at 13, but she was

still going strong.

Oh and no doggie breath to speak of for any of the 3 dogs, on raw.

Not to mention very clean teeth. They never had to have their teeth

cleaned.

Oh and I had very little parasite problems with them. No fleas at

all. Ticks did get on them, but I pulled them off. The ones I

missed, never seemed to cause them a problem. No intestinal worms,

unless they ate a wild rabbit or squirrel that they caught. I

stopped using pesticides on them when I began feeding raw.

Anyway, so started my jouney into raw for myself.

With this said, I can see where El is coming from about being clean

on the inside makes you clean on the outside as well.

My question is. Does one need to be totally raw for this internal

cleansing?

Hi Belinda,

Just wondering how, or more specifically what, you feed your dogs raw? Is it

raw meat, or raw veges, or a combination?

Elchanan,

You make some very great points. I really enjoy such exchanges. I would expect

to understand if and when my system ever became that clean. You are correct

that my ability to believe is relative to my own experience. I agree it has

nothing to do with other's reality. Often times, when I make the statement, " I

can't believe " It is just a figure of speech. My intention, is not really to

invalidate what others experience. I understand that all things are possible.

What I didn't think was possible 20years ago, I now know is possible. I come to

realizations all the time in life. It is part of life's learning and growth.

As far as animals not smelling bad to one another. lol.....my dog might " beg "

(pardon the pun) to differ...lol She will shun a critter that she feels smells

bad to her. lol You should see her. lol

I don't like to make assumptions that i can never become that clean and healthy.

I'd love to. I just say that as my life is now, with all my " compulsions " I just

don't see it happening. Obviously I'd like it to happen or I would not have

ventured onto this path of the raw lifestyle, I would not be trying to " soak " up

everything i can to learn all I can and educate myself about all things raw. I

am taking my journey into this raw lifestyle " one day at a time " . This, so far,

is what is making it work for me.

I am choosing to be healthy. I do want to be healthy. I just know how I tend to

be my own worst enemy when it comes to staying on track. I am trying not to fall

of the wagon. It is a daily challenge for me. As I type right now, I am so

hungry for something hot and I am going to resist because I know it is not

healthy for me.

I appreciate this dialog with you,

Respectfully,

Jeannie

I'd be interested to learn how one washes in a non trditional sense.......

We, humans, do shed skin constantly....we are covered by bacteria. Bacteria does

smell bad. I'd love to learn a better way of staying clean.
