Guest guest
Hi Elchanan, You've suggested that body temperature will decrease when someone adopts a healthy diet. Over what sort of time period would you expect this to happen? Obviously it will vary a lot, but I mean would it be months, years, or decades. Did you observe the change in yourself? What is your usual body temperature now? Regards, Roger -- In rawfood , " Elchanan " <Elchanan wrote: Also, if you are in a position to do so, may I suggest that advise this gentleman to begin tracking his body temperature. Guest guest
you didnt ask me..elchanan will answer...but illl throw out that i get colder in days of raw. and in the winter...i get so cold that i dont even WANT raw food...which is a real problem..but ill deal with it.... expect a pretty quick reaction....if you dont eat cooked food..your body doesnt have to work hard to digest....the lack of heat isnt the temp of the food..thats anecdotal...its the energy used to digest...theres little to no heat from the very first raw meal... thats been my experience.. peace anna On 6/8/07, roger.rowan <roger.rowan wrote: > Hi Elchanan, > You've suggested that body temperature will decrease when > someone adopts a healthy diet. > > Over what sort of time period would you expect this to happen? > Obviously it will vary a lot, but I mean would it be months, years, > or decades. > > Did you observe the change in yourself? Guest guest
Question: Is there a benefit of a lower body temp? 98.6 being " text book " normal, is this actually " normal " ? My body temp usually runs in the 97's. I do know I am always cold and my dh is always hot. Is this diet related? Guest guest
Same with me Jeannie. I am soooo cold natured. I dread winter every year because all I want to do is just hump up and hybernate until it warms up. I even freeze in air conditioned public buildings. Restaurants, malls, church, what have you. I usually bring a sweater to wear inside. But I was like this before the raw eating. Guest guest
I haven't taken my own temperature in years, I don't use that sort of information anymore. But if I had to guess, I'd say either about 95-96 F or 10,000 F (the temperature of the surface of the sun). But that would occur only when I'm sun gazing. Ugh ... Of course, as you say, it varies ... depends on one's starting point and one's path ... but I'd say it's in years, certainly not decades. Hope this helps, Elchanan _____ rawfood [rawfood ] On Behalf Of roger.rowan Friday, June 08, 2007 12:33 PM rawfood [Raw Food] Body Temperarure Hi Elchanan, You've suggested that body temperature will decrease when someone adopts a healthy diet. Guest guest
Hi Jeannie, Anyone who knows anything about engines, computers/electronics, etc. knows that the #1 cause of destruction is heat. So yes, running your entire system 3 degrees F cooler for a lifetime would make an IMMENSE difference. This all has to do with the distinction between what is statistically " normal " and what is biologically " normal. For more info please see these posts ... I have not prescreened with my " usual " thoroughness this time. 28896, 15192, 14895, 14736, 14549, 14208 Best, Elchanan _____ rawfood [rawfood ] On Behalf Of jeannieh h Friday, June 08, 2007 2:45 PM rawfood Re: [Raw Food] Body Temperarure Question: Is there a benefit of a lower body temp? 98.6 being " text book " normal, is this actually " normal " ? Guest guest
Many harmful bacteria, viruses and fungus can only survive in a certain temp too. (the reason that operating rooms are so cold)That is why our bodies run fevers when we catch one of the bugs. High fevers kill the offending bug. I would imagine a lower body temp might prevent some of the diseases form being able to really take hold in the body.
