Anna- it's very true. These children appear to be growing on trees. Or instead

of trees.

Either way, there are WAAAY too many of them.

Well, actually, the kids aren't half bad. The parents on the other hand....

So, I know others have mentioned this before, but a lot of people I work with

are very

unhealthy. It's incredibly difficult to stick to my guns while I'm at work for

a couple of

different reasons:

1. The office always has food in it- people bring treats quite frequently.

2. The job is stressful. And I am an emotional eater (there! i said it!)

3. The schedule is hectic. I can plan exactly what/when I am going to eat, and

have it all

blown in an instant because we got a new referral, or a kid is disrupting from

their

placement, or running away, or because someone is in the hospital, or because

someone is in

jail......

Any suggestions on how I can be healthier?

I've thought of that!

The problem is that my current job pays about 8000

dollars more than every other social work position in

the area. :(

so's prostitution....but she may not want to do that!...

i find most social workers to be extremely altruistic people...self

sacrificing to the extreme...somehow event planning doesnt strike me

as very much in line with that...

i could be wrong...

Actually, I have plans to go back to school to become

a physician's assistant.....the problem is that right

now, my husband is finishing school, and we are living

on my income alone. Oh, and the PA program here

makes it virtually impossible to work while you're

going to school.

He graduates in December, so I can start in the

Spring....but.....it's hard to wait!

Is there a course of study to become a physicians' master rather than an

assistant?
