Thanks for all the ideas. I'm going to try and find some stainless steel

bottles.

how bout cantenes?

 

my coworker sittin next to me (amer indian) thinks the bladders are

better...but she grew up with those...

 

the steel bottles sound good too...id like some of those myself...

Where in the world does someone get animal bladders to use for water

bottles? And how long can you use them?

What sizes do they come in? Are they big enough to hold alot of water?

I thought there may be materials like canvas that are used to carry water and

" water+containers+canvas " in google provides some links. and perhaps camping

suppliers may have stuff too.

my american indian coworker would recommend ordering them from

reservations..

 

and they come in the size of whatever animals bladder youre using i would

imagine..

 

im not at work today so i cant ask her as easily..but ive bought indian

stuff before

and its the real deal...they still make all kinds of stuff they used

hundreds of years

ago..

 

my friend goes to montana to visit family every year on their

reservation...so i hear

about their lifestyles..

 

the internet offers many many options for finding american indian

stuff...ebay too...

give it a shot if you think you want to carry water in something like

that....

 

i personally have bought deer skin pouches and things like that...

theyre really cooool..
