Guest guest
Hi Jeannie, This requires a conversation. For now, I recommend patience with your process. Let your system heal, let its components reassert themselves over time. You've only just begun. Can you eliminate most or all of the meds? Yes. But not yet, not until you are more ready, and not without support that goes beyond this Group. Your safety is paramount. Also, with a probability approaching 1, some significant emotional issues will surface as you go forward. In all likelihood, these will be integral to the conditions that " require " the meds. I realize this is not the popular view, medical, RF, or otherwise. But I find great success working with people when we deal with the emotional/subconscious work in conjunction with RF, fasting, etc. Many speak of holism. Few can define it, and still fewer pursue it. There is much for you to learn, please understand that you have time. Patience is your friend, patience arising from faith in Nature's design and trust in your own system's capacity to restore and replenish itself, over time. They have never been able to " regulate " it. I have been put on all mg's of synthroid over those 10 years. I am not that good at taking it everyday. You have to have an empty stomach to take it. I tried to take myself off of it not long ago...I tried to consume dulse and seaweed...but I began to feel so sick, it was awful. I had blood work and my results were awful. I had to begin taking synthroid again. I am now just starting to feel ok, it's been almost 2 wks. Do you recommend I stop taking it again? I would like to not have to take it. I also take bp meds and cholesteral meds....and diabetic meds... I'm all for not taking any meds...since I often forget to take them anyway....I've been pretty good at taking the synthroid now for about 2 wks. Guest guest
Elchanan, You are right, I understand that. It is logical and it just makes sense. However, why do I want it to happen YESTERDAY!!?? lol I do understand there is alot of " baggage " . The only thing is that, I don't have a clue what my emotional problems could be. Is that weird? I think most people either know or have a clue what their problem is. My dh has always told me that I am an emotional eater and that he thinks that I have become overweight subconsciously " on purpose " or " to protect myself " from something. I can't imagine what it could be. I do think it makes sense though because I don't believe anyone under normal circumstances would abuse their body this way. This is another reason I was dissappointed with the " take a poll " thread. To me it is all relative, whether it is 150#.200#, 500#or 1000#'s. The mind is very complex, can do wonderful things AND conversly, can do weird things to us. It has a reason for doing what it does whether we consciously know why or not. It will do what it can to preserve and protect. If it were so easy to " make the right choice " I do believe there would not be such population of obese people or for that matter, people with a host of other type of " psychological " problems, like addictions, compulsions, ocd, add or any other combination of problems. Under the right and ideal situations (I don't believe) no one is going to " choose " to be unhealthy or overweight or anything other than ideal. We are a product of our past and (right or wrong) there is a reason our mind & body responds the way it does. So that is why I am very upset when I see someone get on " their high horse " and virtually " look down " on someone for their apparent " weakness " . I am reminded of the saying " There for the grace of God go I " . I am not known for being a very patient person. It is not a virtue I can claim. lol I will continue to be a " work in progress " . Gratefully, Jeannie your time is the most cherished gift of all, tomorrow is promised to no one. Guest guest
Jeannie, I understand the perception you describe below ... actually, I find quite the opposite. If people really understood themselves, then they would all think, feel, interact, and live differently. When I am talking privately with someone, It usually takes me only a few minutes to get into what lies beneath the conscious awareness. Guest guest
Elchanan, Ok, I think I would be a good experiment for you. I wonder if I would be the exception to your rule.
