Guest guest
People are posting about sticking to the topic a bit more. People have commented that listening to 2 or 3 people flirt and say things that are better left IM-ed isn't what people want to read on these groups. Most people respect that..?! The same people keep ignoring that, sorry. Can we kind of stick more to health?
Guest guest
there is a lot being posted about health on here. However some of us like to make jokes or whatever. Anyone who doesn't like it is free to delete them and not read them. At my office I have to listen to things all day long I could care less about but I can't 'make' others not discuss them just the same. Guest guest
A joke here or there is one thing. To continue and continue and continue when it's not even a " joke " per se, where everybody would get a kick from it, but instead flirting and openly pondering each other's physicality is really inappropriate, not a " joke " , I am truly sorry. Guest guest
Anna, In the spirit of us just being able to post anything and all things to " lighten the mood " or whathaveyou, as has been suggested, I think I'm going to start a thread about the dog I had growing up. Or about how I felt when I didn't make the lead in the school play in 10th grade. My feelings were hurt! I think EVERYBODY should be allowed the SAME " respect " to just post whatever, regardless. If it's truly okay, then we'll ALL just kindly delete, delete, delete all the continual off-topic clutter. Mind you, this board is busy enough with just the raw foods. Doggie raw diets is an obvious " detour " that is still on path. Flirting and going on and on is just ridiculous, sorry.
Guest guest
Thank you KRISTI. I know it's not just us, too. I fancied starting another raw food myself, honestly. Seriously, I mean, people kind of sound desperate with their flirting. I really don't want to think about everybody on this forum's sex life, sorry. I mean, should we all post when we're lonely? Horny? Just got laid? WTF? It really isn't very flattering to those involved. It's not an unreasonable request to suggest you guys get a room or a private chat room, seriously. No offense, but everybody is disregarding the kind requests....?!

Guest guest
Terry, I agree with you. I think we have a great mix of stuff going on here. We do discuss all topics RAW. HOWEVER, the fact that we are humans, and not robots, I think it is nice to be able to play and joke here and there. To my knowledge we don't live in a communist country and should be free to add levity to a conversation even if it takes us off topic a tad bit. I am a very respectful person, but I don't see any disrespect in being friendly/playful when the situation warrants it. I also argree with you that if someone should be offended they are just as free to delete. What I would rather hope though would be that they would just throw something funny in too!! Respectfully, Jeannie (don't hate me because I have a sense of humor) your time is the most cherished gift of all, tomorrow is promised to no one. Guest guest
Anna, are you always so rude and haughty? This diet worked marvelously for me, thank you, and continues to do so. I've never been better. You? Take your pH lately? Perhaps you're a bit too alkaline? Happens, you know and it's not good, sounds like it could be happening to you..... Guest guest
P.S. Does it feel good to have someone insult you and talk down to you that you don't know for no reason? To take rude stabs at you? If not, then you should probably think before you write to others in that fashion.... I mean, are you sure your eating raw? It IS supposed to raise the consciousness. But maybe you're only 80%. Or an anomaly. ?
Guest guest
How was your flirting funny and for everyone? That seems to be everybody's 'reasoning', but interesting that so many felt like they were walking in on people who clearly wanted to be alone. If anything, the conversation was more heavy than anything.
Guest guest
The 'flirting' and flurry of all the off topic emails was really getting to me, too. I am so glad that someone has finally said something! Hopefully it will stop and we can get back to the real discussions, the real reason that myself and others joined this list - to share information about raw food. Take everything else off line, please! Paula ______________________________\ ____ Building a website is a piece of cake. Guest guest
Thank you Paula. Maybe someone can start a rawfood " singles " group, no? Or a social for rawfoodists? It's funny - I am not afraid to speak up. It's not to cause problems, but a lot emailed me personally after my initial comment or so, and honestly, I know it makes " me " the posterchild so it looks like " me " who is just being a pain or is " unhappy " and who gets to take the ensuing personal insults from people like Anna (and yes, they were), but honestly, I care more about just staying on topic or, like I said, affording everybody the same right to post about their day, their boyfriends, the raise they want, their thoughts on abortion, etc. Obviously, this would never work, and for those to suggest it's " fine " so they can continue flirting is just ridiculous. rawfood , Paula Wood <wolfmother1 wrote: > > The 'flirting' and flurry of all the off topic emails was really getting to me, too. Guest guest
Actually, the few later responses had to do Anna's insults. But thanks for your opinion, you're entitled to it.
Guest guest
If you like the board, why leave over a topic you think is silly? All topics die out and move on. I do not get ANY e-mails from these message boards. I prefer to just come to the message board and retrieve what I want. It is much easier and less annoying than having a bunch of e-mails in my mailbox. It makes it much easier to skip what I don't care to read. If I left a message board everytime a topic was not interesting to me, I would spend more time joining and leaving boards, than abosorbing the good info on them. Belinda > It doesn't just bother her. Guest guest
Message boards are entirely different, where there are subforums for all these various topics. I am on plenty. And on message boards, they DO remove topics that don't belong and put them under the " other " thread or what have you. You cannot just post off-topic. This is not a message board, either. It's a group discussion....around a main topic. Food fight? Enjoy some healthy debate in the Answers Food & Drink Q & A.

Guest guest
Thank you Anna. I am on other forums also and people always get off topic, sometimes for a while and it ALWAYS gets back on topic. And NO ONE on those other forums have gotten so bent out of shape. If I get tired of reading about something, even some things on topic, I hit delete and move on. This is the only forum that seems to have people that get bent out of shape. Guest guest
this is very true. On other boards I am on there are ALWAYS thing brought up that are off topic because people get to talking and joking around but just as on here there were still things being discussed on topic also. If I quit a forum everytime I didn't like something there would be no point in every joining one. To get uptight or quit is what is ridiculous to me. Guest guest
Terry - I haven't posted at all on this in over a day. I could honestly care. If you are too immature to notice there is a diference between flirting or an e- " PDA " versus simply being a bit off topic, then it's no use trying to explain it. I have 3 posts from you on this topic today, why are YOU still on it is the question...?! Sucker-punch spam with award-winning protection. Try the free Mail Beta.
