Guest guest
ok...until recently...i was 90% raw for 4 weeks and went 100% for 2 weeks, until 10 days ago when i went back to cooked.... ive had a bellyache ever since...daily...nonstop...for 10 days... now this may seem like a dumb question..or no real complaint at all to some...but i was eating cooked WITHOUT a bellyache constantly BEFORE going 90% 8 weeks ago....like for my whole life! what happened?? is this normal? im not enjoying this cuz im not 100% raw right now.its disconcerting to think that i HAVE to eat raw or else from now on because i liked the occassional cheat....but the pain is significant... did something change? Is there a line you cross at a certain point in raw eating that makes it IMPOSSIBLE to return to cooked without suffering so much? This sucks.... oh..incidently....got my values from med exam... taken 6/12/07 cho 190 trig 71 ldl 126 hdl 50 but most telling are my vitals...after 4 weeks raw on 6/12 i was 100/60, 97.5 degrees....after 7 days cooked i was 110/80, 99.6...7 DAYS! ouch! anna -- Anna " A fool can not understand wisdom even if he associates with a sage. Guest guest
hi, I'm sorry that you are in pain. i don't have any answers being very new to this. But your post has put me in apanic as I had planned on going 100% raw but not past the summer months. However if it changes your system so radically it may not be for me as I live in New England and I am not going to move to California just to keep eating raw. So now I am having second thoughts My plan was to eat fruit and a few seeds for breakfast Salad with abit of avocado and tomatoes for lunch and supper would be salad greens and veggies possibly some more seeds/nuts soaked nuts- no cooking-just sprouting Now I'm not so sure since your post. Also my health is good-I'm just overfat a bit. My cholesterol is a bout as high as yours- but my HDLis 112 which is very high ldl is 80 so...now I'm not so sure. Guest guest
Well what are you eating thats cooked? why are you eating cooked at all? consider its just like smoking cigarettes,it takes a while to handle the toxins. Just keep eating that cooked swill and after awhile your body will get used to the dead lifeless goop and your tummy ache will go away along with the health improvement that eating raw gives you. what you decide to eat thats cooked also may be a bad choice for your body type and the amount may be to much for your body to handle. I hear that once you go raw and you go back to cooked, you don't feel well. Just consider how hard your stomach has to work all the sudden after the holiday from the cooked goop. It's like going back to work and doing a 16 hour shift after you got off the plane from your holiday. To get back on the cooked path use enzymes to assist your stomach for awhile, and start with something light just leave the dairy and meat on small amounts for the first while. Watch the grains as well. start with cooked veggies with no butter and work up slow to the stuff that is really hard on your stomach and health. I am sorry that you have a tummy ache but you should switch back rather quickly. ten days is to long to feel sick don't you think? I hope that helps. gex > rawfood , " Anna Bishop " <mowthpeece@> wrote: > > > > ok...until recently...i was 90% raw for 4 weeks and went 100% for 2 > > weeks, until 10 days ago when i went back to cooked.... > > > > ive had a bellyache ever since...daily...nonstop...for 10 days... > > > > now this may seem like a dumb question..or no real complaint at all to > > some...but i was eating cooked WITHOUT a bellyache constantly BEFORE > > going 90% 8 weeks ago....like for my whole life! > > > > what happened?? > > > > is this normal? > > > > im not enjoying this cuz im not 100% raw right now.its disconcerting > > to think that i HAVE to eat raw or else from now on because i liked > > the occassional cheat....but the pain is significant... > > > > did something change? Guest guest
I just realized that I came out of nowhere and started posting without any formal introduction. Well as far as a formal introduction I seemed to have left my tux and tails at home. So without any ado and in jeans and a T shirt here we go: I have been interesting in Raw for a long time. I thought it was the way to go about 10 or so years ago, but I never did do it.I have always been the kid that ate his veggies and if I got to cook them they were barely cooked. Thirty years later and married with children and I hinted about going raw with my beautiful wife who was not at all interested. Year later into the marriage she became very ill and walking ten feet was a monumental task. Doctors were unable to help and I was watching her waste away coming closer to death with each day. Anyway I was as clueless as everybody else and twice as grief stricken as everyone else. A friend reminded me if she does not eat whe will die. Yes, a no brainer but there were so many things on my mind and I felt so helpless I was a basket case. I knew that I had to get her to eat but how. How about one piece of organic celery in a conventional blender and always raw? Her health slowly improved and even with some awful setbacks it was always two steps forward and once in awhile one step back. She is 100% raw now and has been for awhile, when she eats cooked food it does her no good, so she continues feeling better and looking more beautiful than the day I first saw her about 14 years ago.( no kidding) Me I can eat anything but I never knew how bad my heatlh was in some areas until I got around going to 90% raw and later 100% raw. I quit double doeses of Celebrx and I still have my last container of Tylenol three still with 100 tabs. that may have lasted a couple weeks. I have had only three T3's and 2 Ibuprophen in nearly three months. That is not to say everyday in a good day. But I could not make it a say without the celebrex at all. there are other benefits as well but they are for another time. I have no alarming reason to go raw other than its the more intelligent way of eating. I need all the intelligence I can get. thanks all.
