Guest guest
Hi Caron, I do so hope that what you write, excerpted below, is not what you actually believe. For there are no cures (other than for bacon and the like). Every part of our being cleanses, restores, and replenishes itself ... when we create life-affirming conditions, when we make life-affirming choices. In a sense, all this really does go back to that simple statement in Deuteronomy: " Therefore choose life. That's why I'm here, trying yet another " cure " .

That's why " cure " was in quotation marks - I did actually read on a website that this guy had " cured " his fibromyalgia by going raw. (I've also read that diabeties, high cholesterol, heart disease, you name it, have been " cured " by going raw). I'm using the word " cure " , as it's meant in a medical context - ie, to fix a disease or problem. It's what I've been looking for, for years, and why I came here, initially. That changed a few minutes after I joined the group.. My weeks of reading here, and picking brains (in particular, yours, thankyou!), I've come to understand quite a few things, including things that have been sitting quietly at the back of my brain, waiting patiently for me to wake up and hear them. This is why I acknowledge that every symptom I have stems back to the way I've been eating all my life, and that the only way to change things is to change the way I've been eating. I know there's many other facets to health, and I'm seeing some of these fall into place as I go along. (I'm waiting on my book to arrive so I can find out what the others are ;o) ) Caron
Guest guest
So I am thinging that health is a journey, not a destination. Guest guest
Perfecto! As for those who say they " cured " this or that, they simply do not understand what actually happened, they have not made the paradigm shift. But not making the paradigm shift does not prevent one from enjoying the benefits of RF. The problems arise later, when something goes wrong and they lack the perspective to deal with it easily. I've seen this happen repeatedly. Elchanan _____ rawfood [rawfood ] On Behalf Of Caron Thursday, July 05, 2007 10:56 PM rawfood Re: [Raw Food] Therefore choose life. I've seen this happen repeatedly. Do you mean that the problems arise because of a lack of understanding about symptoms and causes? Or because of a lack of knowledge of raw foods and how we should be eating, and health in general (ie, the other facets of health)? I've got a few thoughts buzzing around here, having trouble articulating them. Caron
