does anyone know the best way to replace wheat germ in a conventional recipe

that i am trying to convert? also, is there a good place to order flours in

bulk? the stores here don't carry bulk tapioca flour or potato starch, and i

bake enough that buying the small quantities is beginning to be too expensive.

thanks!!!

Hey, not sure about the wheat germ, but you can order flours online through

Bob's Red Mill

www.bobsredmill.com

or, if you live in Portland (does anyone on here live in Oregon?) you can

visit their factory.

I replace wheat germ with rice polishings and rice bran. The nutritional

content is no where the same but it adds fibre.

Where do you find rice bran? Our store has a good health food & gluten free

section, but does not carry this.

Thanks,

I purchase them through a local phillipino/asian store but mine are made by

Dan-D-Pak. I believe Energ-G also has them. If I remember correctly,

Dan-D-Pak is only in Canada.
