Guest guest
You are giving up coffee? How utterly unOregonian of you! *lol* i like to drink Celestial Seasonings Roastaroma herbal tea once in a while; from the ingredient list it sounds pretty similar to Teeccino. Have you ever tried Postum? i was just wondering if they were at all alike in flavor. Anyway, here is the website for the Teeccino for anyone interested in cutting back on coffee: http://www.teeccino.com/ ~ pt ~ Power of sea be yours, Power of land be yours, Power of heaven. ~ West Highland blessing ~~~*~~~*~~~> , " linda " <lindai81 wrote: > > I went over to a friend's for dinner last night and she knew that I had given up coffee/tea/caffeine etc. She made some coffee substitute that I thought was delicious. It is called Teeccino in the Original flavor. I guess they make it in different flavors. I think it had like 3 carbs and 1-2 fiber. You brew it just like you do coffee, it is caffeine free and an herbal coffee. I really enjoyed it and put my soy in it. I drink mine iced so I don't know what it would taste like hot. Thought I would pass this on in case any of you are trying to give up coffee too. I guess they have an on-line site you could look up. > linda
Guest guest
You are such a brat! You better be nice since you aren't far from me and besides if you ever want me to take you to Lotus Garden you had best butter me up instead of making fun of my giving up Starbucks. LOL I'll have to look at the Celestial stuff. Oh, wait a minute, I don't like tea! Now that is Oregonian in truth! Yes, I have had Postum. I didn't like it at the time. I don't recall it as tasting similar to the Teeccino. But it might. Sure would be cheaper than the Teeccino. But I deserve only the best of the best. <grinning> You taught me that! My poor wallet! It is so skinny since joining this blasted list. linda " ~ PT ~ " <patchouli_troll > You are giving up coffee? Guest guest
Hi this is Patti. When I had to give up coffee, it was hard. A friend told me about ROMA. It is very GOOD. I only drink that now and herbal tea and of course good old filtered water and some juice. Talk is cheap. Use Messenger to make PC-to-Phone calls. Great rates starting at 1¢/min. Roasted chicory root and acorn flour can be used as coffee subs. Check some old-timey cookbooks for recipes and acorn prep methods (copious amounts of rinsing required). ygg
