Guest guest
I'm having a pretty rough pregnancy and was wondering if this would help. Years ago when I first went vegan I only ate properly combined foods, and then became pregnant with my son so I didn't stick with it. Now I have to add gluten free on top of all that and it's overwhelming. I'm not hungry for anything, but I'm making myself eat as much protein as I can handle. I need to plan a menu for next week and I just don't even know where to begin. I told dh that I wish we could afford to pay someone to come take care of us and cook for us until the baby gets here or I feel better. *sobs* Shannon
Guest guest
((Hugs)) It probably feels more overwhelming right now Shannon. You are just in need of a mother. Wish I could come and help. Mothering is something we all need when we are expecting. Guest guest
hi shannon sorry to hear you're having a hard time. when you say food combining, do you mean eating rice and beans together (for example) so that you get a complete protein? it's my understanding that so long as you're eating all the right stuff throughout the day, your body will put all the bits together and get what it needs. maybe i'm barking up the wrong tree, though! best wishes alice On 12 Nov 2006, at 05:52, mrsalf97 wrote: > I'm having a pretty rough pregnancy and was wondering if this would > help. Guest guest
Shannon, when I was sick and pg, I ate a lot of frozen burgers. They were easy for my dh to get for me, and they gave me that protein without a lot of fuss. We use sunshine burgers, and there are a couple of varieties. I hope you feel better soon. Guest guest
Shannon, Have you tried entering the food you eat into a Fitday free journal? http://www.fitday.com it could help you feel more confident you're getting the macro and micro nutrients you need.
