Guest guest
I think i read somewhere that if you crave sweets when you are pmsing that is is deficency in magnesium. If you are working with a naturapath then maybe this is something to bring up. I know it use to be a HUGE problem for me as i am a chocoholic. I take calcium and magnesium and I am getting my body in balance which helps decrease the cravings. Then of course the hardest part is to stop and think on how this will affect you immediatly, 30 minutes from now or the following day. Good luck and just to let you know I fight this a lot during the month also and am not perfect. Kathi ______________________________\ ____ It's here! Your new message! Guest guest
I have been taking magnesium for about two weeks now. I think it is helping in some ways, not sure if it helping with the cravings just yet. I have a feeling I am super deficient. I've been deficient in so many other areas, it wouldn't suprise me if I am low on mag/cal. Getting the body back into balance is a very time consuming thing, and takes a little trial and error. I have been working on it for a little while with my naturopath, and it is quite a discovery process. I think my cravings are also as a result of my hormones being out of balance as well. We are working on that too. Thanks for the recommendation! Guest guest
just wanted to add that i have been taking a product called natural calm. it is magnesium and calcium since when apparently they need to be taken together to absorb or something like that. anyway, it is a powder that you take at night and it also helps me sleep. it helps cut down on my cravings and it also helps with my leg cramps. since i use to get them a lot since i started walking. and yes, i do yoga and stretch so i was confused why i was having these leg cramps. i get it from herbmart here in dallas but the website is www.petergilham.com. good luck! kathi --- Sharon Cercone <sharon.cercone wrote: > I have been taking magnesium for about two weeks > now. Guest guest
Well, as a fellow sugar addict, I don't know if I'm the one to help!! But I did find that a cleansing diet helped me for a while last year. At the end of three weeks, I wasn't craving sugar much at all. Maybe I should start a new one also! Laurie <lbilyeu lbilyeu _____ On Behalf Of Sharon Cercone Thursday, February 22, 2007 10:59 PM Re: fighting cravings AND MOROCCAN STEW RECIPE! Hi Laurie, Well, I think I am addicted to sugar in a sense, so I am trying to get a handle on that before the next wave of cravings. But I am definitely going to keep some gf/df snacks on hand for when the cravings hit. Sugar is a powerful thing!! Any tips of beating these addictions? I think I might need to do a cleanse soon. That is what has worked for me in the past. Thanks for checking in!!!
