Is there a special way you grind the seeds or will a little coffee grinder work? Thanks! Natalie
Guest guest
You don't have to grind them at all. There are two methods of making an egg sub with flaxseeds and both seem to work equally well. I think both methods are listed in the group archives. LaDonna or Kim could give a better indication on that though. Personally I prefer the cooked method because I can make it ahead and store it in the fridge. Guest guest
Yes, we have plenty of recipes in the " Files " secion for making egg subs with flaxseeds (AKA linseeds for the Australians). Some are cooked, some uncooked, some use a coffee grinder, others a blender. Go the " Files " from the groups homepage (or ) then to " ***Recipes Posted to VGF*** " then to " Egg Subs " . You will fins a folder named " Flaxseed (Linseed) Gel " which contains all the cooked recipes. You can also find recipes in some of the files in there that contain various suggestions.
