Cucumber Salad (Czech)

1 large cucumber

3 tablespoons (45 ml) oil

sugar to taste

salt

1 tablespoon (3 tsp) vinegar -OR- lemon juice

dill -OR- garlic

 

 

Peel the cucumber, slice and pour on marinade made as follows. Mix the

oil and vinegar or lemon juice. Season with salt and sweeten. Add a

chopped garlic clove or finely chopped dill. Mix well together. A cup

of thick (vegan) sour cream may be used instead of the oil.
