Guest guest Posted May 19, 2007 Report Share Posted May 19, 2007 Strawberry or Raspberry Kissel (Russia) Source: Encyclopedia of European Coking 1 Ib (450 g) berries 1 1/2 (English) pints (29 fl oz) (850 ml) water 10 oz (285 g) sugar 2 tablespoons (6 tsp) potato starch Remove the stalks, wash the fruit and rub through a sieve. Put the water and sugar into a saucepan and bring to the boil. Blend the potato starch with a little of the hot syrup, bring to the boil again and remove from the stove.
