Guest guest
Has anyone information about prementral bloat? I bloat (sounds gross!) once a month. I always blamed it on diet, but now have noticed it has a pattern? Is it a Celiac problem? Candida? Who knows? ~Gail
Guest guest
I believe bloating is a typical symptom of PMS-ing. Eating right, and exercising, and drinking plenty of water can help. But, PMS-ing, is PMS-ing, unfortunately. Drinking plenty of water is key, and avoiding salty or sugary foods. On 6/4/07, candocook <candocook wrote: > > Has anyone information about prementral bloat? Guest guest
You could look into supplementing with monk's pepper a couple days before and during your expected pms. Monk's pepper, aka chasteberry, helps with pms symptoms and is a common ingredient in herbal pms preparations. However, I suggest looking into using it by itself so you know whether it has any affect or not. Bloating in itself may be CD related if you are like most people with pms who have a craving for high carb foods during your pms. This means eating more grains, in higher doses than normal, and sometimes also means eating higher amounts of protein rich foods which will cause your GI tract to back up a bit. The little extra pouch at this time may not be from water retention so much as compaction in the colon and bowel. Guest guest
Yes, I remember (I've been menopausal for a bunch of years now) having some trouble with mild constipation during PMS. I've actually seen that listed as a common problem. Perhaps more fresh fruit during the pre-menstrual week would help??
