It says " 1 hour and 15 minutes " in the book. Thank you for pointing this out. The book means pressure cook. . .THEN. . .cook for 8 hours in a crockpot. . ..OR. . .6 hours in a 350 degree oven. All those times seem LONG to me, but they wouldn't hurt the product. . .but may be unnecessary as far as completely cooking the beans. Thanks for the note! Guest guest Posted June 26, 2007 Report Share Posted June 26, 2007 Baked Beans 3 C. dry Great Northern beans or white Navy beans 2 C. tomato sauce 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1 1/2 Tb. onion powder 3 Tb. oil 1/4 C. brown sugar 1 1/2 Tb. molasses 1 1/2 tsp. celery salt 1/4 tsp. cardamom 1. COOK and drain beans according to directions. 2. MIX remaining ingredients with cooked and drained beans. 3. POUR into baking dish. Heat well. Note: May also make this recipe in a crock-pot.
