Guest guest Posted June 28, 2007 Report Share Posted June 28, 2007 Pawpaw and Pineapple Jam 2 firm pawpaws 1 pineapple 125 g (1/2 cup)(4 1/2 oz) chopped glace ginger 2 cups lemon juice 2 kg (8 cups)(4 lb 6 1/2 oz) sugar 1. Quarter, seed and peel pawpaws, chop into 2 cm (3/4 " ) pieces. 2. Peel pineapple, remove core, chop pineapple into 2 cm (3/4 " ) pieces. 3. Combine pawpaw, pineapple, ginger and lemon juice in boiler, cover, bring to the boil, reduce heat, simmer uncovered for 5 minutes. Add sugar, stir constantly over heat, without boiling, until sugar is dissolved. Bring to the boil, boil uncovered, without stirring, for about 30 minutes or until jam will jell when tested on a cold saucer. 4.
