Xanthan Gum Substitute

Hi All,

I'm out of town and xanthan gum is unavailable. Do you have a

suggestion in substituting for xanthan gum? Guar Gum is also not

available. We are in the country and the nearest city is just too far

to travel for this ingredient. I am making GF Zucchini Bread for my son.

Yes, just skip it. gums are added to make food bind better and are strictly

not necessary. You can replace them with puree cooked veggie or fruit (like

carrot, yellow squash, sweet potato, banana, pear or applesauce). I find

when travelling purchasing a small First Steps type jar of baby food does

the trick.
