Guest guest
Hi All, I'm out of town and xanthan gum is unavailable. Do you have a suggestion in substituting for xanthan gum? Guar Gum is also not available. We are in the country and the nearest city is just too far to travel for this ingredient. I am making GF Zucchini Bread for my son. Hope you can help! Guest guest
Yes, just skip it. gums are added to make food bind better and are strictly not necessary. You can replace them with puree cooked veggie or fruit (like carrot, yellow squash, sweet potato, banana, pear or applesauce). I find when travelling purchasing a small First Steps type jar of baby food does the trick. BL On 7/20/07, Nicole <sewinthesun wrote: > > Hi All, > I'm out of town and xanthan gum is unavailable.
