Guest guest Posted August 18, 2007 Report Share Posted August 18, 2007 Spinach and Corn Pasties quantity of GF pastry to make three 25 cm (10 " ) squares (use a packet mix or see Files for recipes) 4 tsp vegetable oil 2 medium potatoes (400 g / 14 oz), diced into 1 cm (3/8 " ) pieces 1 small brown onion, chopped finely 250 g (9 oz) frozen spinach, thawed, drained two 310 g (11 oz) cans creamed corn 8 tsp milk alternative 1. Heat half the oil in large frying pan; cook potato, stirring, until browned lightly. Add onion; cook, stirring, until soft. Combine potato, onion, spinach and corn in large bowl. 2. Preheat oven to 200 C (390 F) /180 C (350 F) fan-forced. Oil two oven trays. 3. Roll pastry into 25 cm (10 " ) squares and cut in half diagonally. (Alternatively use a small plate to cut circles.) Divide filling among triangles, placing on one side; fold pastry in half to enclose filling, pressing edges with fork to seal. 4. Place pasties on trays; brush with milk.
