Yes, my Simplicity Circle meets every two weeks, and even though I am the

only one with food issues, everyone cooks around my food issues to make sure

I can eat at least 5 of the 6 dishes we have at any meeting. (Each meeting

includes a potluck meal.) I sent out a list of my allergies/intolerances

and posted it on my blog for the group to use, and it has really been

wonderful. The support is invaluable in my opinion, and I get great new

recipes.

Standing at the fork in the road

You could see if there are already some in your area

and/or start up your own at http://www.meetup.com

My experience is a lot of people sign up for the notices,

but turnout is low. However, I'm speaking as a NH resident.

You may have more luck in your area.

By the way, did you all know it's World Vegetarian Day

and Vegetarian Awareness Month? :)

It's a group of people who are meeting to support each other on the various

paths toward simpler lifestyles--lower consumption of resources, better

financial planning, etc. Like many such groups do, we started with the

excellent book Your Money or Your Life by Joe Dominguez and Vicki Robins.

You can google " simplicity circle " to find out more. :)

Cool Norma. I used to be in Hazelton all the time when my husband had a

I went to UVic in 1979 and 1981. The second time I lived and worked in

Victoria as well for BCTel at the downtown operators office.
