I have not posted in a long time, but I have a quick question.

Is there such a thing as completely dairy free cheese All the chesses that I

have read the labels to have casein in them.

my daughters have allergies to dairy and gluten and they are craving cheese.

Thanks tons,

Becky

I've seen rice cheese and cashew cheese at the health food store.

I've not tried either of them.

Yes there are, Becky --- but they are sometimes difficult to find. I

tried a new one recently that actually melted and was pretty good. I

don't have the label and don't remember the name, but I'll try to

check next time I'm at the health food store and will let you know.

Veganrella is completely vegan. It's not good to eat uncooked, but it's

excellent in macaroni and cheese (not straight, though). I also looked through

a friend's copy of the Ultimate Uncheese Cookbook tonight and it's now on my

wish list. It's full of recipes for cheeses and cheese dishes. They sound

amazing! I can hardly wait!

I use " Follow Your heart Vegan Gourmet Cheese Alternative " . There are 3 flavors:

Cheddar, Monterey Jack & Mozzarella (sp?). and it melts, too. Pretty tasty, too.

You can do a web search on " follow your heart " .

The rice cheese that I have seen has casein. The " Follow Your heart Vegan

Cheeese Alternative " does not have casein. - And it melts, too! Good on

sandwiches and for cooking, too.
