You have a breadmaker WITHOUT the teflon coating?? I didn't think they made any! May I ask what brand & model it is? Guest guest
I had this at a party the other day. It was delicious the cook said that it qualifies as vegan and gluten free: Raw Chocolate Brownie Base: 2 cups raw walnuts 10 pieces of Medjool dates 1/4 cup cacao powder (use a 100% raw cacao powder e.g Green and Black, Rapunzel or Ghirardelli ) 1 tsp org. vanilla extract Frosting: 1/2 cup coconut butter 1/4 cup agave nectar (can be found at any health food store) 1/4 cup 100% raw cacao powder 1 tsp. org. vanilla extract For the base: First pit dates. Then combine all ingredients in food processor and blend until contents roll into a ball in the middle. Form into a 1 inch high round. (I use a pie plate) For the frosting: In a bowl, melt coconut butter into a smooth consistency. (Just place the jar itself in a bowl of hot water). Add agave and vanilla to butter and blend with a spoon. **************************************See AOL's top rated recipes (http://food.aol.com/top-rated-recipes?NCID=aoltop00030000000004)
Guest guest
No, I don't have a breadmaker without teflon. I was just suggesting that teflon coated items that have been used for cooking with gluten containing foods shouldn't be used for GF cooking. I can tell you though that mine does have a special GF cycle, but it is only available in Australia. KIm > Hi! You have a breadmaker WITHOUT the teflon coating?? I didn't think they > made any! I guess I'm disappointed, but not surprised. I still haven't found a model w/o teflon. I guess I'm going to have to put more thought & effort in trying to bake bread the " old-fahsioned way " around my schedule. I appreciate the response though!
