Thanks, Kim

I realized it was the common language problem : The Queen's English vs American.

I have a bunch of beetroots, and will be trying this recipe today.

Yes, I'm always surprised that 2 countries that speak the same

language have so many differences, but then again even in a country as

small as Australia we have our fair share of differences from state to

state.

In the files I've altered the folder title to read " Beets (Beetroot) " .

I've also added it to the " Alternative Names " file (In " Conversion

Tables " ) in the Files and in " Database " .

On the subject of beets/beetroot, in Australia we always buy our cans

of beetroot sliced and pickled (with vinegar etc.) is that the case in

America ?

Do let us know how the recipe works out,

Kim :)

My father used to say about GB and America : " two countries, separated by a

common language " ,

Yes, one cana buy canned beets sliced and pickled, which is the most common way,

but one can also get them whole, without vinegar, or other pickling.

I have some fresh beetroots in the fridge, but I had them for a while, so they

aren't as fresh as they could be. When I get them fresh, I love to cook the

greens, too.

Haven't tried the recipe yet; got lazy today, but maybe I'll go make it now.
