Guest guest
Wow, that's some list! Thanks. If you were going to buy someone one of those as a gift---because you thought it was a beautiful book in addition to having great recipes---which one or two would you instinctively reach for? Guest guest
My choice(s) for a vegan cookbook that would make a nice gift because it's beautiful with great recipes would be: Taste of Health (2 cookbooks) by Barbara Kerr. Her recipes are self-developed and are well thought out, yummy, and very creative (yet not difficult). I had the pleasure of attending one of her cooking classes once and she presented many of the recipes in her cookbooks. I use her book frequently and appreciate that her foods are tasty and beautiful. Here's a link if you wish to order: http://www.tasteofhealth.net/ . This is an easy cookbook to convert to gluten-free. If I were to select a basic, comprehensive vegan cookbook I would choose: > Weimar Institute's NEWSTART > by Staff But also excellent are: > Cooking by the Book > by Marcella Lynch AND > The Seventh-day Diet > by Chris Rucker and Jan Hoffman Each cookbook has something different to offer --- and I buy each one for a different reason than the other. Two I recently added and enjoy are: > Veganomicon > The Ultimate Vegan Cookbook > by Isa Chandra Moskowitz and Terry Hope Romero [comprehensive; no pictures] Vegan Fusiion World Cuisine by Mark Reinfeld and Bo Rinaldi [my newest; fantastic color photographs and creative recipes; not necessarily comprehensive, though] LaDonna
