Guest guest
Hello All, I contacted the folks at Gardenburger about one of our favorite indulgences and they informed me that their Flame-Grilled Burger--once vegan AND gluten-free--has been reformulated and it is no longer gluten-free. Guest guest
that's because morningstar farms (a kellogg's company) took over the gardenburger brand and eliminated the gf products. I have wrote to them, and had all my friends and family write to them concerning the GF products back in March. They replied that they have no intentions on keeping or maintaining a GF product line. Hopefully though, with celiac on the rise, they will reconsider and go back to making some GF vegan products. Maybe if more people write to them about it they will have a change of heart! If you want to contact them, here's the link... http://www.gardenburger.com/talk-to-us/index.php Amy's brand has a GF vegan burger called the Bistro Burger, which is really good! It does contain soy though, for those who have soy issues. http://amyskitchen.com/products/category_view.php?prod_category=1 On Sat, Sep 13, 2008 at 6:31 AM, Mary Williams-Pepin < calimaryvegan wrote: > > Hello All, > I contacted the folks at Gardenburger about one of our favorite > indulgences and they informed me that their Flame-Grilled Burger--once vegan > AND gluten-free--has been reformulated and it is no longer gluten-free. > > >
Guest guest
Thanks for your pointing this out... I just wanted to let you know that I sent off a letter letting them know that I will no longer be purchasing their products.? ? I doubt they'll care, but like you said, if enough people raise their voices, it might make a difference.? I took an advertising course one time and I vaguely remember them saying that for every person who complains industry estimates that there are 200 people who share the same opinion, but who have not complained. Guest guest
After reading this, I don't see what is not gf. Am I missing something? Please let me know what ingredient here contains gluten! Thanks!
Guest guest
They haven't updated the site yet! Another frustrating thing! On another note, for those of you who can't have tomatoes, I came across ketchup, barbeque and pizza/pasta sauce, all tomato, soy, corn, everything free! Here's the link http://www.glutenfreemall.com/catalog/nomato-norine-m-97.html Now we just need to find you a burger! lol On Sun, Sep 14, 2008 at 9:55 PM, Julie Taschetta <lovela2002wrote: > After reading this, I don't see what is not gf. Guest guest
Can't help but note that everything the gluten-free mall carries, we also carry at Allergy Grocer (www.allergygrocer.com) as we use the same distributor. The benefit to you all, is that the coupon code only works at allergygrocer ... 10% off all product costs. The code is in the archives I believe.
