Guest guest
HI Mark Welcome to the list. I think you must be the first person I've heard of who became veggie/vagan to lose weight. I put weight on because there's so much nice food when you give up eating animals. Better luck this time - just think of the lives you are not taking. Jo - Peter Monday, January 13, 2003 5:48 PM Fw: Welcome to A message sent to me, but intended for the group... BTW - Welcome, Mark. :-) Hello group. My name is Mark and I'm from Utica, NY. I was a vegan for a while a couple of years ago and had some nice success until I gave it up. I reverted back to milk and meata and gained 25 pounds in a month. I went vegan/veggie again two weeks ago and have lost 7 lbs thus far. I'm going to watch my processed carbs the second half of the day this time around.Mark J. ---Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).Version: 6.0.435 / Virus Database: 244 - Release 30/12/02To send an email to -
Guest guest
I lost about 15-20 pounds at first, but I've leveled off since discovering vegan junk food--gah! I just adore Goldenberg's Peanut Chews--mmmmm. However, I'm trying to cut back on my soda consumption (hit a slump when I got dumped into a loathsome temp assignment--more on that later) and drink more water and juice (I love the Naked juices). Guest guest
The first thing I had to do was make sure I didn't lose any weight! Eat plenty of rice and starches and carbs and keep the weight from dropping. Family thinks i'm gonna die as it is - why give them more ammo nikki Everything is easier than one thinks. Guest guest
I have a tendency to be overweight, so any poundage I drop right now is a good thing. When I saw my family in June--after being veg for six months--my mom thought I looked fabulous. I think I've lost weight in my arms; my watch is a lot looser than it was when I bought it.
