Guest guest
Oh yes, that stuff it GOOD. Go well with the gravy reciepe someone posted! :-D I've tried the deli slices - they aren't too bad either if you want to slap up a quick sandwich for work. Good with those different mustards and sauces you can get from most supermarkets - the tomato and basil mustards and sun dried tomato sauces etc. fb , jonireb@a... wrote: > Alex....thanks for the link to the quorn site. Guest guest
Here is a link to some info on Jicama....I'm pretty sure it's not the same thing as anise, or fennel! http://www.mycustompack.com/healthnotes/Food_Guide/Jicama.htm#Nutrition-Highligh\ ts It appears to be high in fiber and vitamin c. I tried it for the first time at a raw foods support meeting/pot luck last month. I really liked it. We used it as a dipper veg. for raw hommus, sliced lengthwise, thick enough to dip with. IMO, it's similar to a raw white potato, but not quite as crunchy. I don't recall a particular flavor, because the hommus was so delicious and spicy.
