Guest guest
Hi Nikki > Welcome back Peter! Thanks :-) > Where did you go on holiday and hope you had a great time! Went to the Lake District (north west England) - lots of hills and lakes, and quite a bit of rain. I'm sure Jo will tell you all about what they mean in the Lake District when they say " slightly boggy underfoot " !! > Everything alive is sacred; life delights in life. > William Blake So - is your footer in honour of the current discussion on Druidry, or purely coincidental :-) BB Peter --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Guest guest
>... slightly boggy underfoot! Well, we donned our walking boots and went on this walk. It had rained (torrential rain) all night. The walking tracks were streams. We found ourselves stepping from one mound of moss to another, carefully avoid the six inches of water around them. We thought that we would soon be across this 'bog' and carried on - and on - and on etc. It just got worse, so we thought it would be drier if we went nearer the top of the mountain. It wasn't. We had to get back to where we started so we thought we would head down to nearer the lake and see if we could find a way round the bog. Eventually we did, but there were still large puddles - and mud. I managed to step in a puddle and the mud went right over the top of my boot! Anyway, we had a four hour walk, some of which was enjoyable. Jo Went to the Lake District (north west England) - lots of hills and lakes, > and quite a bit of rain. Hope you got to enjoy it all despite the rain! > > > Everything alive is sacred; life delights in life. > > William Blake > > So - is your footer in honour of the current discussion on Druidry, or > purely coincidental :-) Actually purely coincidental, but fits rather nicely with the posts I have been enjoying. Must have been in the stars. Speaking of which, have not been posting much to any of these topics. The Retrograde has me in quite a tailspin lately. So playing better safe than sorry! nikki Everything alive is sacred; life delights in life. William Blake

Guest guest
Nikki Thanks. We enjoyed it very much. We visited three stone circles, a Cistercian abbey, a Roman fort, Hadrian's wall and lots of lakes. Jo > Sounds quite eventful and interesting!
