Probably even all those weird chewy sour candies and red vines are vegan. But they just seem wrong, lol. What do you think? >> Vegan Candy List The following candies are considered vegan. This list was brought to you by PETA. Please double check the ingredients for yourself when you buy them. Companies can change their formula at any time without notice! But you can use this list as a start. A note about sugar: Some of the products listed here may contain cane sugar. Most contain high fructose corn syrup. If you are a vegan who avoids refined cane sugar, please read the labels carefully and/or contact the companies that make these products and find out if they use beet or cane sugar. * Airheads taffy * Atkins peanut butter bars * Blow Pops * Boston Baked Beans * Charms lollipops * Chick-o-Sticks * Cracker Jack * Cry Babies * Dem Bones * Dots * Dum-Dums * Fireballs * Gob Stoppers by Willy Wonka * Goldenberg's Peanut Chews * Good 'n' Plenty * Hot Tamales * Hubba Bubba bubblegum * Jolly Ranchers (lollipops and hard candy only) * Jujubees * Jujyfruits * Lemonheads * Mambas * Mary Janes (regular and peanut butter kisses) * Mike and Ike * Nerds * Now and Later * Pez * Ring Pop lollipops * Smarties (not the ones made by Nestle with chocolate!) * Sour Patch Kids * Spree (original, not the new chewy kind) * Starburst (jelly beans and hard candy only!) * Super Bubble * Swedish Fish * Sweet Tarts * Tropical Source mini chocolate bags * Twizzlers * Zotz
Guest guest
Thank you for the responses to the getting to know you, it was great to learn about you, and hey, even a vegan from the area! Fraggle, if you know of any good vegan resteraunts in south or north of the bridge enlighten me. I am fairly new to veganism and learning as I go. Some things don't seem to have anything non vegan by reading the ingredient list but because they are so processed I wonder. How do you feel about foods like this, I saw a white sourdough bread at the store that wasn't too healthy but didn't seem to ahve any non vegan products, Lays potato chips seem vegan, even McDonalds french fries although I wouldn't endorse the company, but you get the picture. Probably even all those weird chewy sour candies and red vines are vegan. But they just seem wrong, lol. What do you think? The New Search - Faster. Easier. Bingo. Guest guest
As much as I do miss them, McD's fries are not vegan. They are made in lard. And a lot of tater chips are the same way. Snacks and candies to me are essential staples of life. LOL As long as eaten in moderation (and they are vegan) I still enjoy them. I try to follow the rule of Do not eat anything with large words I do not understand in the ingredients. Now dark chocolate, good luck getting that away from me! nikki Everything alive is sacred; life delights in life. Guest guest
check the files, i have a list of local resturants in there.. as fer vegan foods...sure, maybe red vines are vegan..but..to me..just cuz something doesn't have animal ingredients in it doesn't make it edible, ya know? its sorta pointless to me to avoid something with whey, only to scarf on something with poly sorbate something er other, er artificial yellow #32 er wotever.... Guest guest
McDeathburger puts beef flavoring in their fries, so they are not at all vegetarian, much less vegan. As for certain vegan-by-accident foods, as long as you eat the processed stuff that appears to be vegan in moderation only, I don't see anything wrong with it. Guest guest
Siobhan It's very difficult to tell if something is vegan from the ingredients, especially the additives, flavourings and colourings. We mostly try to avoid processed foods so as to avoid this problem, but it is a difficult problem.
