Guest guest
ah..the beer and wine question one day, i'm gonna have to make a FAQ! ok..now.in the US, most beers and wines are vegan... the reason they say beer is not vegan most of the time is that some brewers use something called isinglass..this is refined fish bladder..it is used in the fining process to drop proteins and yeasts out of solution... it is very rarely used in the US..most beers here are cleared with filters, dms, plate and glass filters, etc. it is used still in England, and is a main component of Real Cask conditioned beers a few brewers in the US use it, but it is rare, and mainly for British style cask conditioned beer wine in the UK can use a variety of animal ingredients..again, in the US, this is less of a case...many wineries use Bentonite to clear their product, which is a clay if you ever aren't sure..ask the brewery, they are usually more then happy to talk about their beer! or, you can drink unfiltered beer brew yer own drink organic beer i've heard that guiness is vegan and that it isn't..i asked the brewery awhile back, and they said that it was vegan... Guest guest
How do you feel about drinking wines and beers? Are you worried about whether they are vegan or not? I was about to sink into a tasty Guinness tonight and I decided I better do an online vegan check. Well, one site said Guinness is not suitable for vegans, but gave no explanation, then another vegan sight said "don't be fooled by would be knowlegable vegans who say Guinness is not vegan", I went to the Guinness website and looked at their ingredients and brewing practices and didn't find anything contrary to veganism so I am going to drink my Guinness and if anyone call tell me a good reason not to I will not do it again (but sadly I must say). Guest guest
now..there is an oxymoron.."beer that tatses like it" well..since Miller isn't even beer in my book ahem.. Miller is owned by the Phillip Morris Group..which happens to own a bunch of companies, from tobacco to Kraft and Maxwell house they are the second largest contributor to the Republican party, and fund all sorts of right wing ideologue "Today's teenager is tomorrow's potential regular customer" - Phillip Morris and besides, Miller is shite...they don't even use hops in their beer, and the whole concept of cold filtered..ranks right up there with beechwood aged..its meaningless...no one hot filters a beer... Miller is big into breaking the production of beer into its chemical components, hence, why they don't use hops, but a chemical equivalent(essence)..they support GMO.. nope..sorry...me no like fraggle *sigh* You still haven't told me what's wrong with Miller dear. I gotta know. Lite is me fav beer and now I feel guilty drinking it but don't know why. Is there any beer out there I can drink that tastes like it?
