Guest guest
Hello, my name is Mark. I've been a vegan for a few years now and just got a computer at home so I'm checking out the chatrooms for the first time! This current thread has been really interesting. I can see Wendy's point as well as seeing others had valid points too. But I thought it was quite mean to sort of hound her out of here, referring to her having her points of view as a 'bully' and an 'asshole'. Thought this was a really friendly list. Is it just that you guys aren't open to debate? She seemed pretty polite and all. She was even big enough to admit she might even be in the wrong chatroom. Maybe I've just logged on at a bad time? Is it always ike this? Is there certain things I shouldn't talk about or debate? Like I said I'm new here!! Thanks! Yours, Mark

Welcome - I hope you enjoy yourself here. > But I thought it was quite mean to sort of hound her out of here, > referring to her having her points of view as a 'bully' and > an 'asshole'. I think you're mis-reading what was written. Neither of these terms was applied to Wendy or to anyone else on the list. Might be worth you going back and checking the archives over the past few days to see what was *actually* said. > Is there certain things I shouldn't talk about or debate? No topic is "off-limits", although there are one or two which people do get particularly heated over... pretty much the same topics as get heated in any conversation. Our only rule is "be polite". Guest guest
Hi Mark! First let me start by saying welcome to the group! I was a little confused by your message and could not understand where you saw anyone calling Wendy anything. So I went back through the messages and found this one from Danielle: 11425 There are some anti-veg assholes who will do everything they can to pick on you for every misstep. They're the sort who will harsh on you for wearing leather shoes, even if you did buy them long before you went vegan; they won't hear or care about that part. Danielle Truthfully, I highly doubt that Danielle was referring to Wendy and think she was simply speaking her thoughts about people she has run into. You will find on this group that everyone is allowed to speak their own opinions and the only thing the mods ask, is that we do not attack, flame or spam. Pretty much all discussions allowed and all opinions are listened to whether any one agrees or not. Tis truly a great group and I do hope that you enjoy yourself here! Guest guest
I was not referring to anyone in this e-group with my comment. I was venting, and I referred to people who are not veg*an, have no desire to go veg because of their selfish desires, and their enjoyment at ripping us if we aren't the perfect little veg*an. Or ripping us for being veg*an. Danielle " This is your American dream Everything is simple in the white and the black You will never need to see the grey anymore You will never have to be afraid.
