I wholeheartedly agree, Carrie.

I want to read new *recipes*... I don't want to read about animal

rights platforms that I *obviously* support. I mean, come on!...

We're all vegetarians here, so most of us (most likely) agree with the

views this person is posting. He/she isn't making any of us aware of

anything. Most of us probably became vegetarians because we don't

want to eat dead animals. If these animal rights groups REALLY want

to make a difference, they should post the animal rights postings to

groups who DO eat meat. We (vegetarians) already know the score.

Sheeesh!

On with the recipes!!!

No one likes the postings that are cc'd to every vegetarian list ont

he planet, it seems. Looks like the sender was booted from the list

but he just rejoined with a different email addy...

I don't say much on this list.. but lately I've been listenin to the talk

about irrelevant postings on the list and haven't said anything.. but now I'd

like to say something.

I agree with Carrie. I just opened an email expecting to see like a

recipe.. and I saw something about animals in traps. I'm not saying I agree

with trapping... but I was really upset by that email.. and I'm sure others

will be too... so I don't think it's right to post those in a recipe list. I

mean.. I joined this list because I wanted information about food... if I

wanted to get emails about animals rights.. I'd have joined an animal rights

list. I'm not going to or anything.. but I'm just asking if

someone could do something to make these people understand.. because I'm sure

they don't read all the mails that we send out.

Thanx.

Hi,

Off-topic I know, but I thought the following might be of interest to anyone

who hails from the UK and has access to the digital freeview channels:

Thursday 28th August

9:30 pm

Singer: A Dangerous Mind

A profile of Peter Singer, who has been called the most influential and

dangerous philosopher in the world. His views on what makes a human life

worth living have provoked both outrage and praise.

10:30 pm

Peter Singer: Profile

BBC Four talks to philosopher Peter Singer, the man hailed as the " father "

of the animal rights movement, who helped define the intellectual framework

for animal rights. Disturbing, adult scenes.

Cheers,

John
