There is a double page article in the Daily Mail today about our

British ponies from the New Forest being slaughtered in England and

then sent to France for their horsemeat industry. It makes painful

reading, but I thought I would draw your attention to this article.

I missed this article, but know someone who keeps newspapers so will try them. I believe they round the ponies up for slaughter every year, don't they?

Hello Jo

 

According to the article, at the end of the summer these beautiful

ponies are rounded up - some are sold to riding schools but the

majority are sold as horsemeat for the French market.

Hi Janey

 

I don't know why they have to do that. They always say the numbers

would get too large, but I don't see that.
