... depends on whether you consider dead rats..

apparently every 10 years or so, the guiness vats are

cleaned out and they usually find a layer of dead rats

at the bottom ...

 

This is a common story in Ireland, but it still

doesn't prevent them from drinking it -

I'm sure health and safety doesn't allow that anymore,

but maybe thats the source of the 'meat in guinness'

tale -

I sincerely hope it is vegan, because I do like to

drink it when I go back home to the old sod ...

ok..rumor...myth....

beer vats are cleaned out after every brew....

:)

every time you brew beer, you clean out EVERYTHING..the kettle, fermenetation

tanks, everything.....

guiness does seem to be something that goes round and round in the vegan discussions

sooo many folks tell me they use isinglass..yet...i've asked them repeatedly, and they always say they don't...

eh..i don't like guiness anyways

hahahahah

A few years ago I rang Guiness's head office in London and

was told they did use isinglass for refining the beer.
