Guest guest
Hi Nikki > Why, what was it called in the UK? It's the Philosopher's Stone - which makes much more sense, because the Philosopher's Stone is a (semi-)mythical stone - it was the goal of all alchemists to create a Philosopher's Stone, which was supposed to be the "secret ingredient" necessary for transforming base metals into gold - which is a metaphor for spiritual transformation, and thereby eternal life. I mean, how can you have Nicholas Flammel with a "Sorcerer's Stone"? The guy wouldn't have had a clue what you were talking about!!! :-) BB Peter ---Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).Version: 6.0.515 / Virus Database: 313 - Release 01/09/
Guest guest
Hi Peter Makes no sense to me why they would change it. Well, other than because they could. Doesn't surprise me a bit. nikki , " Peter " <metalscarab@o...> wrote: > Hi Nikki > > > Why, what was it called in the UK? > > It's the Philosopher's Stone - which makes much more sense, because the Philosopher's Stone is a (semi-)mythical stone - it was the goal of all alchemists to create a Philosopher's Stone, which was supposed to be the " secret ingredient " necessary for transforming base metals into gold - which is a metaphor for spiritual transformation, and thereby eternal life.
