Guest guest
Hi I'm just wondering what people do about eating for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We will be spending the Holidays with family and there will be the mandatory Holiday turkey. Any ideas? Maggie San Jose CA
Guest guest
Hello Margaret We usually have nut roast en croute, with roast potatoes, sausages in rashers, parsnips, carrots, brussels and broccoli - and stuffing. Then we have the traditional fruit pud with custard or soya cream. Jo I'm hungry - haven't had dinner yet! ---Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).Version: 6.0.515 / Virus Database: 313 - Release 01/09/

Guest guest
Hi Maggie, If I go over to someone's house for any type of dinner, I usually bring my own food. I try to make it enough so that others can try it as well. One easy dish is peppers stuffed with a soy meat and rice mixture. Easy to make and can have lots to share. For things like side dishes, I usually get there early and bring my own butter & milk. Then you can offer to help with the meal and when it come time to make things like mashed potatoes, you can seperate some for yourself and add your soy butter and soy milk to it. This way they feel as if you are participating. And if you do not have time to make a lot or go over and help prepare, just bring a plate made up for yourself. They'll understand. And chances are you'll be able to share something they have. Even if it is only the bread or salad. I like to bring some kind of vegan dessert as well. It kind of helps them all to get an idea of the wonderful things we eat. Hope that helps!
