Hi everyone,

I have been tryng to find Morningstar Farms hot dogs for over a month now. I've

checked 5 different store (that used to carry them)...nothing. I realized that

these stores no longer stock the veggie corn dogs either. Does anyone know if

MF took these products off the market?

Thanks,

Susie

Susie, on the Morningstar site under Dogs, they just list Italian style sausage,

so maybe they are off the market.

I did a little digging around online and found that the corn dogs (regular and

mini) were recalled in May, but Kellogg's was vague about the reason.  I found

this:

http://www.progress.org/gene63.htm  and it makes much more sense.  Kellogg's

(greedy corporate bastards) were using genetically modified corn and soy in

their products that were not approved for human consumption.

I saw on a vegetarian board somewhere (sorry lost the link) that the veggie dogs

have started to show up at some Whole Foods Markets reformulated with all

natural ingredients and repackaged.  I don' t know if I trust Kellogg's.  I

might have to search out another brand.  Unfortunately, all the stores I have

been to in my area do not have alternative veggie hot dogs.

The problem with processed foods (more so than fresh food) is that you really

don't know what's in it.  <sigh>

Yeah, I heard they stopped making them.

Boca discontinued their brats, too.

I can still find Smart Dogs and Yves brand.

You could buy the Worthington brand Vegalinks

on amazon.

I'd also recommend Turtle Island Foods (makers of Tofurky) franks and brats.
