Guest guest
Thought you might all find this amusing! So I planned our annual Thanksgiving camping trip, and as my partner was bringing the tofurkey, thought he would also bring the grill to cook it on. Alas, when it came time to cook, he said, " I thought you were bringing the grill? " . Fortunately, I had brought a 5-qt crockpot, and suggested we cook the Tofurkey in there. I am pleased to report it came out wonderfully, along with the brussels sprouts I stir fried with garlic and wild mushrooms (freshly gathered that day). It was a memorable feast, in the campground. This was our 5th year doing this; I look forward to many more. Ellen
Guest guest
Good thing you weren't really roughing it with no electricity to plug in the crock pot. Sounds like a lovely Thanksgiving. ~ PT ~ Lo! sweeten'd with the summer light, The full-juiced apple, waxing over-mellow, Drops in a silent autumn night. All its allotted length of days The flower ripens in its place, Ripens and fades, and falls, and hath no toil, Fast-rooted in the fruitful soil. ~ Alfred Lord Tennyson, The Lotus-Eaters `````````````````````````````````````` , " Cat " <sweetcatkins wrote: > > Thought you might all find this amusing! > > So I planned our annual Thanksgiving camping trip, and as my partner was bringing the tofurkey, thought he would also bring the grill to cook it on.
