Guest guest
I overheard my room-mates listening to Alton Brown's Christmas Special edition of Good Eats for 2009. Among other things, he went over the hows and why's of preparing duck, in great detail. Especially the why's. It was one of the most nauseating things I have overheard in years... Guest guest
Alton Brown is very scientific when showing you how to cook. I do watch his show when he isn't cooking non-veg food. You have to remember his show isn't a vegetarian cooking show so it's your choice if you want to tune in or not. I have the best blueberry muffin recipe of his I use often. Guest guest
It's also relevent that not all members here are vegetarian. I joined this list in order to learn more creative methods of cooking vegetables and non-meat foods, not to become vegetarian. I don't like duck because it is too oily, but I enjoy chicken, pork, some seafoods, etc. I'm also not worried about health issues. -- BAGHDAD GIRL POSSE http://i41.tinypic.com/2rwnf3b.jpg On Tue, Dec 8, 2009 at 6:01 PM, DonnaLilacFlower <thelilacflowerwrote: > > > Alton Brown is very scientific when showing you how to cook. Guest guest
Keep in mind though that this IS a vegetarian list. We do not care if non-veg people join or wish to participate sharing vegetarian ideas, but we do NOT want to hear about what meat you like or don't like. Some people it offends ethically and others it offends their taste. Since this is a veg list we ask you respect those here who did join for that reason and keep your meat chatter to yourself. Thank you. ~ PT ~ *list owner and one who enjoys omnivore cooking shows and cookbooks for ideas but will not discuss meat here* , Baghdad Girl Posse <baghdadgirlposse wrote: > > It's also relevent that not all members here are vegetarian.
