Guest guest Posted January 15, 2010 Report Share Posted January 15, 2010 Baked Seasoned Squash 2 acorn or butternut squash or other winter squash 1/2 cup water 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup butter or margarine 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1/2 teaspoon salt 3/4 teaspoon dried basil Wash squash and cut in half. Remove seeds. Pour the 1/2 cup water into a baking dish and add squash cut side down. Bake for 45 minutes at 350F. Take out of oven and let cool a little. Scoop squash out of shell into 2-quart casserole dish. Mash cooked squash pulp, add other ingredients and bake for 20 mins. Add the rest of the ingredients, stirring well.
