Guest guest
I am new to vegetarianism, I stopped eating meat about a week ago. I haven't eaten red meat in about three years, but I would eat poultry about twice a week. After watching horrific documentaries about animal abuse in our " farms/slaughter houses " ; also our domesticated animals are eating slop that are making them sick and unhealthy instead of raising them as free range animals. I realized that it is my duty to make a pledge and discontinue my meat eating habits. I am looking for support and help on how I can successfully convert to vegetarianism If there are any tips or recipes please feel free to send them to my e-mail at sas_to_b THANKS!! Guest guest
Being vegetarian is a lot easier now than when I started, so you are lucky! My best advice for an easy transition is familiarize yourself with the section of the grocery store's freezer area where they keep the fake burgers and such. You can replace burgers, hot dogs, bbq ribs, even fried chicken, with very good " fakes. " It makes being a vegetarian so easy. I use one of the fakes every dinner, and work around it. For instance a Boca breaded chicken patty (nuke to defrost, then toasted in the toaster oven to get nice and crispy), and serve with it a veggie and starch. So I might do a noodle or risotto next to it and some green beans. The " beef " bbq " ribs " can be served with corn and scallop potatoes for instance. QUICK easy meals! Good luck to you, you can do it. -mouse sas_to_b Monday, October 05, 2009 5:40 PM Hello ALL!! I am new to vegetarianism, I stopped eating meat about a week ago.
